During a chat with Whoopi Goldberg on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the singer discussed her experience with weight-loss medication. While Goldberg previously spoke about using Mounjaro, a medication for type 2 diabetes, to lose weight, Clarkson clarified she used a different one altogether.
She explained her decision came after concerns about bloodwork results prompted a doctor’s recommendation.
“I’ve lost a lot of weight as well,” she said on the show. “Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that, too, because my blood work got so bad.”
This clarifies that Clarkson’s weight loss journey wasn’t solely a matter of personal preference. But also a decision made in consultation with a medical professional to address health concerns.
