Breaking news! Supermodel, Gigi Hadid was arrested due to possession of Marijuana in the Caribbean.
After Marijuana was discovered in her suitcase, American supermodel Gigi Hadid, 28, was detained in the Grand Cayman islands, according to Grand Cayman media.
The model and influencer, who describes herself as Palestinian-American, was processed by customs agents at Owen Roberts International Airport on the island last week when they discovered marijuana in her suitcase. Leah McCarthy, another American model, and influencer, was also charged with her when the two were on the road.
Hadid and McCarthy, according to local media, flew privately from somewhere in the United States. In their baggage, both the chemical and the supplies needed to utilize the substance were discovered.
Even though there wasn’t much of the material, it was enough to get each individual a $1,000 fine when they were detained and processed. According to Cayman Marl Road, a local Cayman media site, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions is handling the case.
Hadid left on 15th July, just a few days after the incident, continuing to enjoy the rest of her trip while reportedly being sighted at a karaoke club.
