Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce Miami’s escapade was not just about Formula 1 racing. His trip to the Grand Prix was a weekend of friendship and business.
ESPN shared a heartwarming video on their Instagram which shows Kelce’s interaction with a young fan.
He was seen wearing a green outfit and sunglasses. Kelce stopped to greet fans amidst the crowd when a young fan gifted him a homemade friendship bracelet. This bracelet was inspired by his girlfriend Taylor Swift. Kelce accepted the bracelet and thanked the young fan saying, “You’re too kind, thank you very much. I wish I had one to give him back.”
This exchange between Kelce and the young fan shows how he is willing to connect with his fans genuinely even amid the Grand Prix.
Travis Kelce From Racetrack Spectator to Team Investor
Nonetheless, Kelce’s weekend was not limited to fast cars only, he also had other activities. Only a few days before the Grand Prix, there was a report that Kelce had been granted a two-year contract extension with the Chiefs, thus certifying him as the league’s most-paid tight end. This lucrative deal is going to pay him $17million+ or more each year.
Kelce’s teammate, Patrick Mahomes, went on social media to congratulate him and even joked that he would never let Kelce leave the Chiefs again.
Earlier this month, Kelce and the Chiefs made history by becoming the first team in the NFL to win all their games during the regular season.
Last season, both of them set a new record for most touchdowns in post-season play surpassing the previous mark of the iconic duo Brady and Gronkowski.
It is just obvious that Travis Kelce is going through a winning season on and off the field. That is just evident in the huge contract he signed, his growing business venture in Formula 1, and a record-breaking season under his belt
