After spending many days in a hotel in Buenos Aires, Liam Payne sadly died while attempting to get away. According to the investigating judge, she said he was under the influence of drugs at the time.
The former member of One Direction died on October 16 after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel. During the fall, he bumped his head against a concrete umbrella base.
Judge Laura Bruniard, who leads Criminal and Correctional Court Number 34 in Buenos Aires, has charged three people in connection with Liam Payne’s death. Among them is Payne’s friend, Rogelio “Roger” Nores, who faces negligent homicide charges, which are similar to manslaughter. Two others have been charged with drug dealing.
Based on the reports, Payne was in a “vulnerable state” and should not have been left alone while intoxicated from multiple drugs.
Evidence and witness statements gathered over two months revealed that Payne had a history of addiction and had been asking hotel staff for cocaine and alcohol.
The judge also reported that Payne had gotten into an argument with two women he allegedly hired as escorts.
After the confrontation, he collapsed in the hotel lobby and was carried back to his room by staff. Moments later, he attempted to leave the room by climbing off the balcony, leading to the tragic fall that took his life.

What’s the Fate of Payne’s Friends Arrested in Connection to His Death?
Regarding Nores’ involvement in the death, Bruniard said that “given the commitment made to the family of the deceased, he should have consulted with a doctor.” These accusations were made a few days after Nores submitted a 91-page defense to the charge of death by abandonment.
He insisted that he was not Payne’s physician, attorney, or representative and stated that he was “greeting fans” and appeared to be in good health when he dropped Payne off at the hotel the day of his death.
In his words”I spent my own money to help him, and even then it was not enough. I was a friend who loved him very much, and I helped him selflessly in everything I could.” “I don’t think I deserve the charge that is being made against me.”
Both Pereyra and Paiz, who are charged with distributing drugs to Payne, will be subject to preventative jail time. Paiz broke his silence back in November, revealing that he had met the late One Direction singer twice before his passing and had admitted to using narcotics with him.
He maintained, however, that he never gave Payne drugs or took money from him. So far, no one has been convicted in connection with Payne’s death, and investigations are still ongoing.
