Celine Dion health update given by her 75-year-old sister Claudette has sparked reactions from fans.
During an interview, she told 7 Jours that the “I’m Alive” singer has lost control of her muscles in her fight with Stiff Person Syndrome(SPS).
She said ” She’s working hard, but she no longer has control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she’s always been disciplined. Some people have lost hope because it’s all illness that isn’t well known”.
Claudette added that the singer still wants to come on stage despite her health condition.
In her words: “It’s true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity, I don’t know”.
“The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle. This is what comes to get me”. Because it’s a one out of a million case, the scientists haven’t done that much research because it didn’t affect that many people”.
“People tell us they love her, and they’re praying for her. She gets so many messages, presents and blessed crucifixes”.
Celine Dion Health Update: When was She Diagnosed?
In October 2021, Celine shocked her fans by announcing that she had decided to postpone her gigs in Las Vegas due to severe and ongoing muscle spasms.

Stiff Person Syndrome(SPS) is an uncommon condition that affects around one in a million people worldwide and results in obsessively tight muscles.
The disease has a detrimental effect on the quality of life since it makes those who have it incapable of walking or speaking.
This has made the star stop making public appearances and postpone her career to focus even more on her health.
However, On October 30, Celine, who hasn’t performed live since March 2020, made an uncommon public appearance at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas during an NHL game.
The “My Heart Will Go On ” singer brought her two boys, René-Charles, 22, and Nelson and Eddy, 13, whom she had with her late husband René Angélil, backstage to take pictures with some hockey players.
We’re wishing her a speedy recovery and hope to see her on our screens next year!
